"O Lord and Master of my life
do not give me the spirit of sloth, despair, lust of power, or idle talk.
But give rather a spirit of chastity, humility, patience and love to your servant.
Yes Lord and King, grant me to see my own transgressions
and not to judge my brother.
For blessed art Thou unto ages of ages, amen."
It's a few days before Lent, but still...I am going to be fasting from blogging during lent, so I'll see you all on the flip side, after Holy Pascha!
Blessings and peace to you all.

I will miss you Alana but I too will be fasting from most use of the Internet during Lent. May St. Ephriam's prayer be fully realized on your soul---I think it is as eveidenced by what you blog---may you be assurred of it in your heart.
Talbot's is a high end clothing store that I was a patron of in the day. I used to collect the catalogs and use the pictures as guides for my own sewing adventures--- I'd buy a scarf or small accessory so I could have a "Talbots outfit". They are conservative working women's gear. Anyway after a long absence they sent me the newest catalog---lady on the front is wearing---a head cover!!! And for all those bargain hunters there is a lovely silk number measuring 6"x 58" for only $34! I don't think it will be part of my personal Easter bonnet this year but ain't it good to know that the movement it is a movin'?
Have a fruitful Lent--I lived in Oklahoma for 11 yrs. and have the same feelings about it as you do. Am up in what the locals call the state of "Misery" Missiouri. Please mention me in your prayers as I continue to try and find the right work place for me--- I know that God will not abandon this old grey head but it still is nerve racking and I just want to please my Jesus and be Him in the best place I can.
A lovely prayer.
I stole it to post at my own blog. :)
