Finding the Right Style
Ha ha. Here I go again. Forever have I been on a quest to find a head covering style that looks nice, is modest, is not "particular" and that STAYS ON.
Well, I'm happy to report, I found such a style.
A cotton "bandana"...but I prefer a PLAIN color (found for a dollar each at Hobby Lobby), no prints, and a nicer "slippery" scarf tied on top. Like this:
Lighting in our apartment is terrible. I have a navy blue bandana under a deep maroon scarf. I just now realized, those are the Theotokos' colors. No imitation intended. I thought up this combo during my insomnia last night with an olive green knit dress that I had to change out of after I got sick earlier. (Yeah, pray for me. This mono I've been battling has shot my immune system, and now I have a cough which I'm starting to get over and today I threw up. So. Much. Fun.)
And here it is from behind. The back is tied in a bow, since the top scarf is long and narrow.
And last but not least, a silly pirate face. Because I'm goofy. And because I took a picture of this scarf combo on myself from the side and suddenly felt ugly and insecure and so had to do a pirate face to compensate for those bad feelings.
So, there it is. A new style that I like.
